The best hairbrush on earth, first bought in the early 80’s in Houston and years later could only find on Amazon. You owe it to yourself to try one of these brushes.Edit: the new one broke in half after 3 months. Sad times. No abuse; it just fell on the floor once and that was it. I really wish there was a way to contact Isinis to see if they would make it right, but I don't see a way to do that. This is a little over the top, but I'm kind of emotionally attached to this brush. I've had this exact hairbrush for over 30 years. Over that time, it's done a fantastic job of brushing my (ever decreasing quantity of) hair. When I say 'this exact,' I mean I've had 1 brush that has lasted through middle school, high school, college, adulthood, and now into middle age. My 3 elementary aged kids are using it now, so I just ordered a replacement for myself and they can inherit the old one. The new one appears to be identical to the old brush.I love it (and the kids love it) because the bristles are soft and somewhat fine and the pad has just the right amount of give on your scalp.$27 seems like a lot, but annualized, I guess that's less than a buck a year in my case.A couple years ago, one of my kids (toddler at the time) repeatedly used the brush as a drumstick against the counter. That caused a few of the bristles to recess slightly into the pad. So if possible, I'd recommend not allowing your toddler to use the brush as a drumstick, even if they are drumming to something cool and old school like Jack's Big Music Show. (They probably should put that in the instructions somewhere). Since nothing can withstand the onslaught of a toddler, I can't knock the brush for bending (if not breaking) to the holy terror of my child.I thought this brush was half boar bristle, half nylon. (I was looking for an affordable alternative to the Mason Pearson popular brush.) Turns out this brush is all nylon bristles. Still, it's pretty awesome. I have long and very, very thick straight hair. The bristles reach my scalp without hurting. They don't snag on strands, though it takes a few passes to get through thickly tangled parts of my hair, like right behind my neck. The bristles bunches are spaced well enough that hair passes through easily, but the individual bristles are close enough to pull out dandruff and hair product build up (kinda gross). The rubber padding is firm with just enough give. It looks like high quality material. The plastic base (back and handle) is very lightweight. I'm afraid to drop the brush by accident because the plastic seems so fragile. That's why I docked 1 star. I recommend this brush, and I would buy it again (as long as it doesn't break within the next year)Years and years ago, too many to remember, an aunt gave me a hair brush that is the only brush that worked for my hair. When the time came to replace it, the lettering had worn off the handle so I started the search buying brush after brush that I thought looked like my brush. Finally, I decided it must be one of those Mason Pierson super expensive brushes so I did an amazon search and saw this ISISNIS brush which looked exactly like my ancient brush except that my bristles were worn down and the red was faded. I am ecstatic. THIS IS THE BRUSH. It may not be the answer for everyone but for my long, fine, but rather thick hair, this is the ticket.I also have been using this brush since I was a little girl (50 now and on my second brush because the first one broke after 27 years) and my daughter uses only this brush as well. I was given my original brush by my mother who was a hairdresser for over 50 years. All the women in my family have thick, long hair (some curly, some straight) but we all love and cherish our brushes. I just ordered my daughter a new one so I can have mine back! Also, the small one fits great in your purse. Never liked any other brush even though I've tried plenty over the years. Best brush ever!!! Love, love, love it.I found this brush by reading Amazon reviews on another brand I was going to buy. I love Amazon reviews! I was ready to spend the bucks to buy my 3rd Mason Pearson brush (I lost one, wore one out) and one of the reviewers mentioned this brand so I ordered it. OMG I like it so much better than the brand I just mentioned and I love the price. I have shoulder length, thick, fine textured hair and this brush seems to give my hair body. It does distribute the oil through to the ends and make it shine and I use it for styling. I just ordered a small size to carry in my purse. I would choose this over the Mason Pearson even if I had to pay more for it, which thankfully, I don't.I bought one of these brushes when my kids were little. It has always been my favorite brush. It doesn't pull your hair like a lot of brushes will. I scratched my name on the brush and I am really glad that I did. Twice my daughters borrowed the brush and took it to their friend's houses. The only reason I got it back was because I had my name on it. My daughter now has a girl of her own with long hair. I purchased another brush for my daughter. I scratched her name on it, as I am sure it will get lost at some point. Believe me, you will be really upset if you lose this brush. You can't go wrong with this purchase. Was on amazon looking for a good brush and was about to settle for another one when I read the review on this brush. It sounded like what I was looking for and I ordered one. It arrived yesterday. It is THE brush I have been waiting for; I have thick, coarse, curly hair and a normal brush just will not go through it. This brush does. It is the first brush that has ever gone all the way through my hair except for those awful plastic ones with the little knobs on the end. I like this brush so much that I ordered two more last night--one for upstairs, another for my purse, and the first one for the bathroom. This brush is definitely worth the money.
