Zippers for the windows on the outside. When it started to rain had to go out in the rain to close them. Liked the size and was easy to setup. It was pretty easy once you figure it out. Did have a couple of pieces put on backwards from manufacturing but we was able to fix it.In constant medium rain it failed after a day. For this price it should have a nice cover over the top! With an awning we added it works great! Awesome zipper and nice screening! If the company added a big cover to go over the top and it would be well worth the price! This tent is extremely flimsy. Even with the lines and stakes it will collapse in the slightest breeze. I gave two stars because it did last for our four-day road trip but it was degrading rapidly and would not have held out any longer. The photo shows it on the last day we used it. It will now spend the next 10,000 years in a landfill. Buy something better quality and with lower environmental impact.Poles hard to pull, the legs were wobbly and not waterproof at all. The zip started leaking. It was very upsetting trying to keep my kids dry.. It Nice and spacious but I wish it was waterproofVery heavy,During set up the one pole came completely out of the pole and was broken. Also one side by the side pole was torn. We purchased the tent Aug 22 and took it for our camping trip Sept 22-27 for our son. It broke right away and we had to go out and purchase a new one. Just returned home and tried to do a return but we are out of the return window. Completely waste of money.Wish I had realized this only had a 30 day return window. I got back from camping with it for 2 weeks 5 days ago and would have filed right away. It didn't even make it through one camping trip without starting to fall apart. The coating on the floor was wearing away under my cot feet. Also the window flaps are on the outside of the tent, so anyone can come around and open up your windows and creep on you. Easy to set up, but totally not durable in any sense. This is truly awful - purchased for my daughters sleepover enticed by the easy set up + capacity. First off the fittings and rope were missing, second thing wrong was that the poles were so flimsy they just bent! - spent 2 hours in the blazing sun trying to get the piece of rubbish to stay up !!! So annoyed - we decided that even if we did get it to stay up, it would not stay up through out the night and it was no way big enough for even 7 children to sleep in - cannot believe Amazon are even selling this - it’s a baggy, thin, low quality cover on bendy telescopic poles - worst thing I think I’ve ever purchased ! So angry !Easy to put up in 5 mins…really?!! 2 hours and 8 people later (including several experienced campers who put up their own large and complex tents in a fraction of the time) we finally erected the tent…sort of…with cheap poles that were difficult to extend and the flimsiest of material better suited to your nanna’s nightie it looked like it would collapse at any moment - and a few gusts of wind nearly brought it down on more than one occasion. Any rain and it would have had no chance. If you want to give your mates a laugh buy this tent. If you want to stay warm and dry - look elsewhere! Zero rated. Picture is after two nights of camping in fine June weather.I have owned quite a few different tents over the past 20 years and have had good experiences with all of them. I was looking for a tent that was relatively easy to put up and, after lots of research and reading all of the 'good' reviews for this telescopic cabin tent, I bought it to use at a music festival last weekend. On the morning of the second day there was an 11mph wind (hardly a gale!) and suddenly the tent caved in. The pole at the back left of the tent had folded in on itself on the upper hinged section. The pole opposite, at the front of the tent, then did the same thing. It took me and some kind people camping on the pitch next to more than an hour to try and make the tent safe and stop it blowing away and injuring someone. None of us could figure out what was wrong with the poles - I had followed the instructions properly when putting it up and the legs were all locked properly. But the 'arm' sections of the those two poles seemed to have no stability at all.The tent came with a small set of thin tent pegs and four of the flimsiest guy ropes I have ever seen in my life. Fortunately, I had some spare guy ropes and strong tent pegs with me - but for these, the tent would have completely collapsed and been unusable, thus ruining the festival I paid a lot of money to go to. Although we had managed to make the tent safe from blowing away, it completely lost most of its shape and hung there for the remaining three days like a saggy old sack. When I was on my mattress at night, the back wall of the tent was billowing against my head and, due to the unstable structure, the bottom section of the front door was lifting and letting cold air in.I went to the festival with a friend and she had bought exactly the same tent as me for the event. During the night of the third day there, she woke up to find that her tent had also collapsed inwards, but this time things could have been even worse because she was asleep and the pole just missed her head. The pole that collapsed was at the back left of her tent, just as with mine. Again, we had to work hard to secure her tent and hers also lost all its shape. After this experience I simply cannot understand where all the good reviews for this tent have come from. I will never buy anything from this supplier again. The tent is now awaiting collection and Amazon is issing me with a full refund. I can't wait to see the back of it.It’s went up fairly easy, but the poles even though are attached to the tent are really flimsy and I felt with a gust of wind it would of folded in on its self, so I did return this item and brought the core instant 10 man instead, about the same price and size and features but a lot more sturdier. We used the core one recently and it was great, so I would advise buying the core instant tent instead. The tent itself is a nice idea in theory. In practice, we received a previously used defective tent that couldn't be erected because a supporting pole had a broken locking mechanism. It was covered in scratches where someone had obviously tried to extend it and get it to lock unsuccessfully. Because this was broken, the tent couldn't be raised and made to stand securely. Unfortunately we found this out whilst trying to put it up during a rainstorm; it was not an nice experience and we had to cancel our camping trip because the tent was unusable. I don't think it's acceptable to try and palm off obviously defective goods that have been returned before.
